From last 3 weeks, i was planning to visit my Gas Distributor & Link Aadhaar to LPG connection. Though i am not lazy person but the Gas Distributor is 10 Kms from my place. It was half a day job. Last Saturday, Before wasting half day :) i decided to search internet for any alternative. After some research, i found out a way to link Aadhaar to LPG Connection online. Its quite simple & will hardly take 5 mins. Thanks to UIDAI for making customer’s life simple.
I am listing down 4 simple steps to Link Aadhaar to LPG Connection online. Before you proceed to link Aadhaar to LPG, kindly ensure that your Aadhaar no. is linked to your bank account.
Step A: Visit https://rasf.uidai.gov.in/seeding/User/ResidentSplash.aspx
Step B: Select “Start Now” option
Step C: Provide following information
Step 1: Enter your address location
In this section you need to select your State and District
Step 2: Choose Benefit Type
(i) Benefit Type – Select LPG
(ii) Scheme Name :- It will list 3 Oil Companies i.e. LPG providers. Select your LPG provider
(a) BPCL (Bharat Gas)
(b) HPCL (HP Gas)
(c) IOCL (Indane Gas)
(iii) Distributor Name: Select your Distributor from drop down list
(iv) Consumer Number: Enter the consumer number as mentioned on Gas Connection Card.
After entering Consumer Number, your name will be shown. Please check, its right.
Step 3: Enter your details: kindly provide details as provided by you while enrolling for Aadhaar
(i) Email Id: You will receive OTP for verification on registered email id
(ii) Mobile No: You will receive OTP for verification on registered email id
(iii) Aadhaar No.
Step D: Last step is verification. You need to enter
(i) OTP: Enter 4 digit numeric OTP received through SMS or Email
(ii) Captcha: Enter the alphanumerics shown in picture, manually in blank box
(iii) Press “Submit” and process is complete.
Your request will be approved within few days after verification. These simple steps will link Aadhaar to LPG Connection & you will get subsidy directly in your bank account as & when DBT scheme will be implemented in your area. You can check the Aadhaar Seeding status directly on the respective website of Gas Companies. It is critical to link aadhaar to both LPG connection and bank account to directly avail LPG subsidy under DBT scheme.

Online request will suffice. Hard copy is not required.

Visit the bank branch and fill the form to link Aadhaar no. with bank account. Also carry your original aadhaar card for verification.

everything I filled OK in Resident Self Service, but whenever I tried to put my aadhaar no (perfectly OK) it says; ‘you must enter text with 12 or fewer characters’ what should I do?
Aadhaar is 12 digit no. Please don’t put any space or special characters while entering 12 digit Aadhaar no.
You will not receive any intimation, you need to check the status on the portal of your LPG provider.

For linking Aadhaar to Bank Account, you need to visit bank fill following form & provide copy of Aadhaar or E-Aadhaar to bank. You need not to link Bank account with LPG company. Both will link to your Aadhaar.

No, Linking Aadhaar with Bank and with LPG connection are 2 different process..You may link 1st with LPG connection & then with Bank or vice a versa.
Yes, you can submit your Aadhaar to Joint A/C but it depends on your bank. Some banks don’t permit Aadhaar seeding of joint accounts. If bank permit Aadhaar seeding then no issue and you will receive subsidy in your joint account.
We are getting LPG cylinders from HP & Indane in Bangalore at subsidized rates, seems no need to link aadhar to account any more.
Now, it is not required till Govt issue fresh guidelines regarding same.

You can check from website of your LPG service provider e.g. for Bharat Gas, to check Aadhaar status link is as follows

For consumer no if i give 16 digit its not taking all 16 digit only 14 its taking what can i do for it
Consumer No can be max 15 digits. If there are Zero’s in your consumer no e.g. 0006382919 then you may remove initial Zero’s and enter only 6382919

Applications are processed on priority basis. When the DBT scheme will be implemented in your area, your application will be processed at that time. My application is pending from 1 year :) Don’t worry, it will happen.

Once valid Consumer no is entered then Name of the Consumer (in green font) appear outside box as per records available. It seems either your consumer no is changed or agency has not provided correct details. You may check with gas agency for more details.

I used RASF one month ago. No feedback from them as yet. No linkage done as yet. BPCL site shows no linkage done. This is a bogus process. Now I will go to my distributor and submit forms in order to get the subsidy. All my neighbours who went to distributor got their linkage done in one weeks time. The on-line process does not work.
I agree. I also have same experience. 6 weeks ago I did on-line seeding with RASF screen. Till now nothing has got seeded. I also rang up the RASF helpdesk number to inquire, and was told to give my documents to the Gas agency for seeding. There is no tracking number of the request even. Completely bogus online process.

Now Aadhaar is not MUST for Direct benefit Transfer. You can directly link your LPG connection to Bank Account for DBT. Pls carry copy of bank statement or passbook and fill the relevant form.
i am submitting form no.2 to LPG DISTRIBUTORS with Adhar Card only, but bank details are not given, but form 1 submitted to bank with Aadhar. but how i can get subsidy without account no. not giving to LPG distributor.
It will be linked automatically as both gas connection and bank details will be linked to aadhaar therefore from aadhaar no all the details can be pulled out by either gas company or bank.

There is no SLA from Govt. As i understand, applications are processed depending on date of implementation of DBT.

You can link your Bank Account with LPG connection to receive subsidy directly in Bank Account. Aadhaar is not must now.

You can submit in any branch provided your home branch and the branch in which you are submitting, both are CBS / Core Banking branches.

Yes you can link your PNB account with LPG connection for DBT. It cannot be done online as you don’t have Aadhaar. You can visit your gas agency to link the same. Also carry your bank passbook and latest statement.
I have done it today, I had updated my bank details on the website (where i have created my indane account) and submitted the form (which i got after entering the bank details) along with the passbook photocopy.

Yes, you can link your bank account for DBT.
Please don’t input any space or special character. Simply enter 12 digit aadhaar no.

Now you need not to do anything. All 3 will be linked to each other.
I have updated my aadhar number with my LPG ID thro online more than 20 days back. I have been regularly verifying the site for the updation details, but till now i.e 17.12.14 it has not been updated in the system. it is only showing RED status. can u please inform me whether there is any system problem. I enquired my LPG dealer and he confirms that my details has been updated. How to verify in the system (LPG site) for updation. My bank account details has been updated with aadhar.

Not possible. Only the beneficiary can claim subsidy.
Sir please prevail upon government to change policy. Government should have info regarding aadhaar numbers of all members of a family. So they should allow gas supply and linking of aadhaar number of any member of the family and not only gas consumer’s aadhaar number.
Instead of my grandmother can we use her subsidy or not….

It does not matter. Even 5 digit valid consumer no is accepted. It seems your agency has not updated the data correctly. You may approach your gas agency.

Technical error. Another possibility is if your mob is ported in / out then you might face issue in receiving SMS for some operators.

Let the price of cooking gas in India be reduced to the price according
to the international price of oil and natural gas, which is below the
present subsidy levels, let the government do this immediately else let
it be removed. Let the bank account and aadhar card be discarded
completely, as there is no subsidy component from the government based
on international prices of oil and natural gas. Let this government
which does not provide any subsidy according to international prices of
oil and natural gas stop harassing the people. Let any government that
continues anti-people like this activity be removed. Let the LPG subsidy
not haunt consumers anymore, as there is no more subsidy according to
the international price of oil and natural gas. Let the bank account not be mandatory.
Currently govt is providing subsidy on LPG cylinders. Govt is also passing benefit of international price cut to non-subsidized LPG cylinders. On 1st Dec, 2014 Govt reduced price of non-subsidized LPG cylinder by Rs 113 in Delhi i.e. from Rs 865 to Rs 752.
The international price when converted shows a price closer to the
Rs.400 per cylinder, not Rs.752, so let it be reduced to Rs.400, so no
need for bank account and aadhar card, LPG can be bought without any
subsidy. So let the government make necessary adjustment to bring the price to Rs.400 per cylinder or let the government be voted out immediately.

You may check with your distributor. There is a possibility of name change.
In case your district is newly formed you can check for the distributor name in the erstwhile district name.
